Privacy policy
Controller
This policy applies to the website agency.webdesk-pro.de (Webdesk Agency). The controller is the operator of Webdesk Pro; name, address and further contact details are in the legal notice (German). Please send questions about data protection to support@webdesk-pro.de.
Visiting the website and hosting
The website is delivered through Netlify, Inc. (USA), which acts as our processor. When you visit, Netlify processes technically necessary data: your IP address, date and time, the address requested and details of your browser and operating system. This is needed to deliver the pages to you and to protect the service against attacks. The log data is kept only as long as necessary for this.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is providing the website securely and reliably. Netlify is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; the transfer to the USA is based on the European Commission's adequacy decision (Art. 45 GDPR).
No cookies, no tracking
This website sets no cookies, uses no analytics or tracking tools and embeds no content or services of third parties. Fonts and all other files are loaded from this website itself. Only when you send the contact form or take part in the poll does your browser connect to our programming interface (api.qa.webdesk-pro.de); what happens then is described in the sections below.
Our server
The server of our programming interface (api.qa.webdesk-pro.de) is operated at netcup GmbH within the European Union. It receives only what you send through the contact form or the poll, and the IP address technically transmitted with it; what happens then is described in the sections “Contact form” and “Poll”.
The “Pause motion” setting
If you pause the page's animations with the “Pause motion” button, your browser stores this setting locally (local storage, entry “wd-motion-paused”) so that it applies on the other pages too. The setting does not leave your device. You can remove it at any time with the same button or by deleting the site data in your browser.
No consent is required for this: under Section 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG the storage is permitted because it is strictly necessary to provide the function you have expressly requested.
Contact form
When you write to us through the contact form, your browser sends your details (name, email address, message and, if given, phone number and business) to our server (api.qa.webdesk-pro.de). From there they are forwarded as an email to our mailbox support@webdesk-pro.de so that we can answer your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, because your enquiry serves to prepare or perform a contract. We need your name, email address and message to be able to reply; phone number and business are optional.
To send the email we use Brevo (Sendinblue GmbH, Berlin) as our processor. We do not store the content of your message in a database; afterwards it is in our email mailbox and, for delivery, at Brevo. We delete your enquiry once it has been dealt with, unless statutory retention obligations apply. We do not send you a confirmation email; the confirmation appears on the page.
To protect against abuse, we limit how many messages can be sent within a period. For this we store a check value formed from your IP address, the date and a secret key, which cannot be reversed; we do not store your IP address itself. These check values are deleted with the first counted request that arrives after two days. The form also sends the time it was loaded, so that automatically filled forms can be recognised; this time is not stored. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is protecting our service against abuse and automated mass enquiries.
Poll
This page offers a short yes/no poll. When you choose an answer, your browser sends the answer and the question's identifier to our server (api.qa.webdesk-pro.de); this necessarily transmits your IP address.
We store only the number of yes and no votes per question and day. We do not store your IP address. To prevent an answer from being counted again and again and to fend off automated mass voting, we derive a check value from your IP address and the question that cannot be reversed. It is created with a random key that is generated anew every day and deleted with the first request to the poll on the following day. The check value is stored separately from your answer and deleted together with the key, after which it can no longer be linked to anyone. Rate limiting likewise uses only such check values; they are deleted with the first counted request that arrives after two days.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is an undistorted picture of opinion and protecting our service against abuse. You may object to this processing on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21 GDPR). Taking part is voluntary; if you do not vote, nothing is sent. Since we cannot link check values to a person, we cannot answer requests about individual votes (Art. 11(2) GDPR).
The poll stores nothing in your browser (no cookies, no local storage). The results are not representative; percentages appear from 20 votes per question.
Your rights
You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing based on Art. 6(1)(f) (Art. 21). To exercise them, write to support@webdesk-pro.de. You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR).
